Saskatchewan’s draws this year have all been smaller than those of previous years. There have been 225 candidates invited to apply so far in 2022, compared to 1,975 by March 11, 2021.
According to a media spokesperson from the Saskatchewan government, “EOI draws invite applicants with experience and education in in-demand occupations that don’t have employment offers.”
“In order to address Saskatchewan’s urgent labour shortages, the SINP prioritizes applications from people with employment offers from employers. In recent months, we have received a higher number of employment offers, which has influenced the EOI draws.
